Woven by Afghan weavers on the Pakistani Afghan borders. They are knotted using locally handspun wool and the beautiful variety of colors and shading is achieved by using vegetable dyes. They have a very fine knot. The designs are from a variety of sources, including the Ziegler . Kazak and Sultan Abad looks. The pile height is cut very low and the colors washed to give that faded look. A stunning execution of design, and fantastic palette.
