This is a Beautiful  Finely Hand Knotted 8.9 x12 Antique Persian Lavar Kerman Hand Woven in the  1930s By one of the best weaver Family at that time .This Rug is in Great condition for the Age a few minor low area  which is expected from a rug of this age. all edges are original. in Perfect Condition .with normal care this rug will last another 30 years. RAVAR (LAVAR) is a small town 120 miles from KERMAN. The western trade designation 'LAVAR' is an incorrect form of the name RAVAR, the weaving center situated in the southeast of IRAN.

RAVAR (LAVAR) has long been the origin of some of the finest Persian rugs. The historical explanation appears to be that, during the wars of the late 19th century, much of KERMAN was destroyed, and a large part of the population (among them many carpet weavers) fled to RAVAR (LAVAR).

RAVAR (LAVAR) rugs usually have extremely detailed designs executed with high craftsmanship and made to last a lifetime.
